In addition, the app delves into synthetic compounds like nitroglycerin, polyethylene, and aspirin, highlighting their historical significance and impact on society.

The app serves as a digital counterpart to the interactive 3D installation “Molecules that Changed the World,” created by Ljiljana Fruk and Bernd Lintermann. This installation was developed at ZKM/Institute for Visual Media to complement the "Molecular Aesthetics" Symposium held at ZKM | Centre for Art and Media in Karlsruhe, Germany, in 2011.
